My 2021 Travel Essentials
Let’s talk travel.
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do whether it be a short drive to Charleston, SC, or catching a flight to London, I always have my go-to items. Traveling is incredible because it’s a time when you get to experience countless new things. With this being said, you must bring essentials.
It isn’t abnormal for your hair and skin to be “going through it” when you’re traveling. In fact, it’s very common and can be easily prepared for.
Must-have hair products –
Olaplex Bonding Oil – $28 Sephora
Olaplex Number 3 Hair Perfector – 28$ Sephora
Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner (Mini Size) – $14 each
Olaplex Bonding Smoother - $28 Sephora
IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo (Travel Size) - $14
These products help heal my hair from damage, while also giving it moisture. The bottles are all very small, but the product lasts so long. I have had my bonding smoother and oil for like seven months now and still have 1/3 of a bottle left! No matter what climate I am in, these products keep my hair smooth, hydrated, and healthy.
The IGK dry shampoo works wonders for me while traveling. I have fine hair and I don’t ever need much dry shampoo but after a long day of switching planes, my hair needs this. It gives my hair volume and gets rid of all excess oil I don’t want. This is the deepest cleansing dry shampoo in their set! I use this one solely for traveling. I use the IGK Hair Invisible Jet Lag ($28 Sephora) for my at-home go-to, it’s much lighter.
I don’t style my hair much on trips or at all really but when I do I use -
Ouai Heat Protectant Spray - $28 Sephora (I have not found a travel size of this product) It smells really yummy. I know some of the Ouai products have a heavy scent but this one is light and smells really good in my opinion.
IGK 1-800-Hold-Me No-Crunch Hair Spray - $27 Sephora (I also have not found a travel size) This product works well for my fine hair. It holds whatever it needs to and doesn’t make my hair have that hairspray, crunchy feel.
Must have face products –
Tatcha Water Cream - $68 Sephora OR Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion (Travel Size) - $2.97 Walmart
My face tends to get very dry when I travel, no matter where I am headed. The water cream by Tatcha is amazing and it’s oil-free. I use this when I am going to a humid destination or even just a hotter climate. It gives my skin a plump, supple, and hydrated feel as well as appearance. The Cetaphil is a staple for me when I go to a dry climate or cold climate. It has little to no scent and is very gentle on the skin. Moisturizes without causing your skin to feel clogged after.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (Travel Size) – $3.29 Target
I talked about this cleanser in my previous post and I’ll do it again because it is amazing and SO cheap. This travel size makes it easy to bring literally anywhere. It keeps your skin clean, revived and doesn’t dry it out after those hectic plane rides or long car trips.
If you want to skip the hassle of finding your favorite scrub in a travel size, this is what I recommend.
Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser (Travel Size) - $16 Sephora
This cleanser works as a light exfoliant. It is super silky with little bits that gently exfoliate your face. It also has such a calming and clean scent to it. I am very picky. I won’t just settle for any scrub and call it a day, so this is my go-to.
A look into my carry on
Mini hand lotion – $7.90 Bath and Body Works
Laniege Lip Mask (Sweet Candy) - $22 Sephora

Oil Blotting Sheets - $3.59 Target
Cetaphil Face Wipes - $5.92 Walmart
Evian Face Mist - $13.50 Target

Happy traveling, XO!
