The Power of Traveling Alone

There is so much power in traveling alone.

It helps you find your true self and explore the aspects of YOU that you never have. It pushes you out of your comfort zone, it breaks many or all of your assumptions about a place, and it surrounds you with culture, beautiful people, wonderful adventures, and growth.

Traveling alone can be scary, exhilarating, emotional, and more. It pushes me continuously to explore myself and the area I am in. It gives me the space to make connections with people from all over the world.

I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures and testing my limits. It provides me with a healthy push to truly grow as a person and be well equipped to make positive changes in the world.

Something that is extremely important to me is understanding other people. I love to make people feel heard, loved, accepted, and happy. Language plays a large role in this which is why I strive to learn as much as I can. I want to be able to connect with people and understand them.

I love walking along the cobblestone roads and taking in the fresh air as I walk to school, to cafes, or home. It fills me with happiness and gratitude to know I am experiencing such a lovely place.

I am very thankful for my trip to Antigua, Guatemala and I will surely be back. The people are so inviting, kind and warm that it fills my heart daily. I am grateful I get to feel so at home because of the wonderful people I have met in Antigua.

I push you to travel alone and be one with yourself. Yes, traveling alone can be scary, but staying the same is even scarier. Push yourself to understand those who are different than you and embrace the beauty of uniqueness that other places and people can offer you.

Always remember you are strong, you are capable, you are smart, you are aware.

Sending love to anyone reading this🤍
