Loving You is Easy
As I cry in the back seat of my uber, looking out along the streets, I can't help to think how much I truly love you. Your people, your culture, your art, and everything that you are. You have filled my heart with healing, kindness, freedom and happiness. You make every rainy day the most beautiful. No day is ever bad here, and life is so kind. When I close my eyes and go to my happy place, it will be you that I see.
What I would do to stay here forever and never look back, but until then, I will continue to work hard, do the impossible, and continue to make my dreams come true. People always ask me why I love Paris or why I want to live here, but the truth is that no matter what variation of words I use or how I try to describe it, it always remains indescribable. Paris is a way of life, Paris is a feeling, Paris is art, and Paris is everything wonderful that one could dream of. Everyone sees a different variation of it every time they visit. Some come to shop, hit the tourist spots, and call it a trip, but some come to find meaning, inspiration, new ideas, and enlightenment. Not everyone comes for the looks, Louis Vuitton and Instagram cafes. Although there is nothing wrong with the way one decides to spend a trip to Paris, I hope everyone finds the true Paris. I hope everyone feels inspired, loved, and has the ability to explore the city through their own eyes and not the lens of their phone.
Take time to not only understand the culture and people but to appreciate them, for luxury goods and photo ops can be found across the globe, but the magic of Paris can only be found in Paris. Paris is a romantic city whether you go with your person or alone, find time to spend with yourself and fall in love with the person you are becoming and the person you have worked so hard to become. Allow Paris to give you the strength, confidence, and independence to do the things you love and create the life you want for yourself. There is truly no other place on Earth like it, so pay attention to the little things, open your heart, and allow your mind to wander in this beautiful city.
